Over time an addict will start feeling horrible about what they are doing to the point to where they are depressed on a day to day basis. Because they are starting to realize that what they are doing is wrong, hurtful, and humiliating. They end up losing everything that they have including honesty with the family and friends, stuff that they own, all of the money, and most importantly the ability

Its really sad when I see people that are so naïve that they cannot not realize what they are going through. So i do the only thing that I can think of, and that is try to help them. And that’s why I work at a drug rehab. It is so rewarding to help people through there addiction. So when people ask me what I do for a job, I easily say that I help save lives. I think that I can really help better

People who are abusing drugs or alcohol need to realize that you do not have very many choices left. Except that you will go to jail, die, or get sober; thats all there is to it no buts or whats about it!! Unfortuantly most twelve step programs do not have the technology to keep a person sober for the long run. People who are addicted need a program with a high success rate, life courses, and

There are many different kinds of addictions out there. Such as drugs, alcohol, and even addictions to gambling or even compulsive shopping! And there is a way out!! Twelve-step programs are unfortunatly not a very good source to get off of drugs or anyother kind of addiction because on average they only have a 30 something pecent success rate. Addicts need a rehab that has a higher success

Any person that uses drugs will always stay with them in there fat cells. So even if a person gets sober they will still have cravings to do the drugs because it stays in there body. All twelve step programs do not treat this specific problem, because they do not have the technology to do so. People who are addicted to drugs need a program that can actually pull the drugs from within there body.

When a person goes to rehab they need to learn a lot on how to stay sober, what life is like sober, and learn on how to confront there problems that are there or will arise in the future. Most rehabs will tell you that addiction is a disease that a person can get. They are absolutley and utterly WRONG! Addiction is a choice that a person makes in life because of problems, bordem, or just cause

When I first got to this program I was a lost soul. I was kicked out of my house, kicked out of school, and had lost the trust from all of my family. Every day for me was a constant worry of what was going to happen to me. There was not a day that went by that I spent at least over a hundred dollars for my addiction. Then when I got done with the program I found myself again. I replinished the

Most family members of a drug addict usually have no idea how to handle the situation. They will just tell them to quit, which isnt really they best thing to do. Most of the time they have no idea what they are going through, because the only way for them to know is if they went through it themselves. So the best way to help them is to be understanding towards them, because the pain and agony

There are alot of rehabs out there that have ambition to help people, but do not have the right technology to really keep a person sober for the long run. I myself have been to differnt rehabs throughout the course of my life, trying to get sober. But there was only one place that really helped me with my problem. Because it had a high success rate, it had long-term life courses, and they got the

For many years I have always been the one to say that I can quit whenever I feel like it. I was wrong. I kept using that justification because I had a serious addiction to certain drugs. I got to the point to where my friends and family could not trust me anymore because I would lie, steal, and almost do anything to get my fix. They had no idea the pain and agony that I was going through. So
